49 . Go to the Dentist

I hate dentists, I think it's something about the smelI

I got tooth ache a little while ago decided it was time to get them checked. I stopped going when I went to Uni and haven't been back since (about 7 years ago)
The toothache was gone by the time my appointment rolled round and the dentist confirmed it was due to an impacted wisdom tooth that caused an infection which (thanks to the internet) I already knew.
He said we wasn't going to pull my wisdom teeth out because it needed to be a recurring problem before they do that. Which was a relief, but I had to have two fillings.... Eek!

I've just had them done today and it wasn't so bad - except I really want the feeling in my jaw to come back. It's my first ever local anaesthetic and it's an odd feeling - I keep hitting myself in the face to see if it hurts.
It feels like when you cut off circualtion to your feet by accident, which my brain knows is fixed my forcing my toes to wiggle so I've spent most of the afternoon gurning to try to get blood flow back to my jaw. The problem is this doesn't work and only succeeds in making me look a little crazy.

Ah well at least it's another tick on my list

Here's a photo of the finished Cardigan - It's a rubbish photo but it's a rubbish cardigan so I suppose it's fitting. I haven't blocked it yet, I'm hoping that it will look a bit better after I 've done that. Ellie seemed to like it though. ;o)

It has 605 views which I really don't understand beause it's just a blurry picture I took at the SLF gig I was at earlier this year, but yay for crossing off another thing on my list. Hopefully soon I'll get round to taking pictures of the knitting I've done :o)

4. Visit Amsterdam
8. Organise a holiday for a group of friends.

I've realised I'm not keeping with at all up to date so I'm starting to now. The two significant things I've crossed off my blog are...

4. Visit Amsterdam
8. Organise a holiday for a group of friends.

Things I've learnt are...
  1. That Amsterdam is beautiful, so many things that I find interesting a lot of what I didn't get to see.
  2. Organising holidays sucks and I'm never going to do it for a group of people again. I'm gonna stick to 2, 3 people tops in future, it's so much easier to sort out when there are only 2 of you.
  3. I can explore a foreign city by myself without getting lost, mugged, stranded or any of the other things that my imagination things can happen when you don't know the city or the language.
  4. Camp dutch people with cute dogs will try and help you if you look lost.
  5. If you're going to trek miles to go to a museum check the closing time before you leave ;o)
